Welcome to my website. I guide in the most beautiful areas of Europe, particularly in Cumbria and south-east Poland. Please look at the pages on this site about these and other locations. As a qualified instructor I teach casting and fly tying, as well as the fundamentals of both lake and river fly fishing. Beyond this, however, I can help guests with a tactical approach which has been developed over many years of both competitive and 'wilderness' fly fishing. I specialise in presentation, based on watercraft, particularly on rivers and wild lakes. I enjoy showing others this short range approach and pride myself that they benefit a great deal in their own fishing adventure as a result. Prime species are wild brown trout and grayling. The main methods are single dry fly and light nymph or duo fishing on the rivers, and double nymph or dry fishing on lakes.

I am also proud to write a monthly contribution on topical fly fishing in The Countryman's Weekly.

I have also recently started a series of articles on tactical flies (and their presentation) in the world's number one fly fishing magazine Fly Fishing and Fly Tying.
